State Regulations for Alabama Home Inspectors
State License Required to Perform Home Inspections in Alabama: YES
Individuals that call themselves Alabama Home Inspectors are required to be licensed by the State of Alabama Building Commission. This particular state adopts its policies from the American Society of Home Inspectors, otherwise known as ASHI. There are a few different ways that you can gain your license in this state.
Certified Member of one of the following recognized organizations; Inspection Depot, Advantage Systems ASP, ASHI, NAHI, NIBI, Home Inspection Institute of America.
Certified Approval by One of the Following; International Code of Congress, US Veterans Administation, US HUD, Council of American Housing Officials
Hold a State License in one of the following; general contractor, engineer, architect, home builder
High School Diploma / GED and at least one year experience as a home inspector and proof of 100 home inspections for compensation.
